Late night cycling trips are a double edged sword.
On one side, you get to unwind and work up a good sweat that comes with a burn in the legs. But on the other hand, those lonely trips also give you too much time to think. Chad Kroeger screaming in your ears helps that. I found it quite amusing the way I almost subconsciously started singing along loudly when I hit a lonely stretch of road.
"Where is your boy tonight I hope he is a gentleman. Maybe he won't find out what I know,
you were the last good thing about this part of town."
I was watching the Ford Ranger Cup final today on TV and I was very very impressed by the way the Queensland Bulls fought tooth and nail to win by defending a paltry score on a good batting pitch. It was amazing. I'm so happy that Victoria didn't win again.
"Someday, somehow, gonna make it alright but not right now."
I've been very happy today. Happy, random and nonchalant. Brilliant.
Cheers.

Numero 60
Milestones, milestones.
The last week has been a bad week. But I'm ok now. The happy Raghav is back.
This is the Raghav that knows that moping and weeping all around the place isn't worth anything. This is the Raghav that knows that the best things in life exist in the NOW, and there's no point in worrying about the future, or the past.
And hopefully this Raghav is here to stay for a while.
Many many mistakes made and learnt from in that last week. My stupid arguments, my stupid mistake, my stupid thoughts, everything. I've learnt to not argue, and instead not care. I've learnt that jumping to conclusions is akin to jumping off a bloody plane without checking the parachute. I've learnt that happy thoughts help. A LOT.
And yesterday made it all better.
Yesterday the other guys (Eugene, Marcus, Kenneth, Jonathan, Gavin, Kai Jie, Varun) and I went out for dinner. We originally intended to go and eat at Lau Pa Sat (is that how you spell it?) but the atmosphere there just killed that idea. So we went to eat at NYDC at Suntec. After that, we fooled around at Toys r Us for a while, before slowly walking to the Flyer to get more food and hang out at the open air amphitheatre. The talking helped. Being honest with everyone there, the bullshit, the laughs all helped me totally clear my head. I realized yesterday how much I missed the guys. (No, that's not meant to sound gay.) Hopefully we can do this every week!
(happy thoughts, happy thoughts happy thoughts!)
Cheers people!
"I'll be there for you,
when the rain starts to fall.
I'll be there for you,
like I've been there before.
I'll be there for you,
cause you're there for me too."

The Rant
What do you do when something you believe in implodes before your eyes? Few things.
First you get angry. You get upset. You can't believe it.
Then it sinks in. Depression follows. Regret.
In a bid to get it out, you laugh. You joke. You smile.
But all the while you deny. You don't show it, but you don't want to believe it.
Then you forget. You bury. You lie.
But soon enough that lie collapses.
And finally you accept. And realize.
I'm done. It ends here. And now.
Cheers.
"I don't care what you think,
as long as its about me."
P.S. Don't ask me about this. Just don't.

Never and never again.
Its funny how clearly one can think once he stops lying to himself.
Never and never again.
Not even going to say cheers here.

18km and back.
I FEEL ALIVE.
Trekked for 18km today with Varun. Went to Bukit Timah, warmed up for 2hrs on the trails in there, ate lunch, and set of on the real goal of our expedition, MACRITCHIE. Yes you read that right. We trekked from BT to MacRitchie. If you have facebook, go look at my new album. It was brilliant.
Hanging out with Varun has been awesome fun. Not only am I getting exercise, talking with him about sane and insane stuff always helps me get my mind of stuff. Other stuff. And I also get to explore things I would have definitely not done on my own. Honestly, how many other people get the chance to visit Murnane Service Reservoir? Awesomeeeee.
The weekend was bullshit. Emooooo. The only silver lining on this dark cloud is that fact that Dim came back (!) and I got to catch up with most of the dudes (!!). Couldn't hang out with Dim much though. Haha. Shopping isn't my thing. Ate dinner on Saturday with the guys and then strolled around the pasar malam at Tampines before parting for home.
Nothing else important to report.
Cheers.
"One night and one more time,
thanks for the memories,
even though they weren't so great,
he tastes like you only sweeter"

Flying high and pretty fine
Its been a great week.
Loads of cricket, both on TV and in real life. Good bit of laughing, because laughing is always good. The cricket team is filled with amazing guys who I enjoy being around, even the new J1 guys. Its also nice to know that its not all fun and laughter, and that I'm getting progressively better at my game, both in the batting and bowling department. Getting a compliment out of the coach about my fielding is an added bonus, considering that I was wicketkeeper from the beginning!
Something related to cricket, but not really. Everyone must know about the crazy Australian bushfires in Victoria recently. If you don't, you're probably living under a rock somewhere, and you should crawl further under it and die. Its believed 300 people died, and many more might be homeless. Its here that the Australian cricketers showed how HUMAN they are. From State players to National players, everyone chipped in to raise money for the Bushfire victims. Selling things, donating, hitting sixes (yes, 5000 dollars was donated for every six hit!), etc, the entire Australian cricketing community did whatever they can. And it didnt stop there. Read this. I think it is pretty amazing that the entire Australian cricket team went all the way down to help with the relief efforts. These guys are International Cricketers who have to play a game on Friday. But they went down just to help. To show that despite all the fame, they're still human. So SCREW all of you who say that Australian Cricketers are cheating, bullying, racist, egoistical players. I've never seen ANY OTHER cricket team do ANYTHING like this. I may not support them in any game, but I have great respect for the team. Especially after this.
Sure, any other Indian guy would be busy posting about the come-from-behind, never-say-die Indian win in the T20 against Sri Lanka. But to me? That humble gesture on the part of the Aussie boys overshadowed everything.
Its lovely when people show they care don't you think?
Cheers.

Can you hear me now?
Nothing of importance to update. Looks like this blog has died anyway.
Went on an awesome biking trip with Varun on Friday, where we went to (quite fittingly named) the middle of FRIGGING nowhere. The pictures are up on Facebook, and if you see them you'll understand why I say that. Been a slow few days after that, mainly spent watching movies and cricket, plain lazing around. Met some of the new cricket J1s today and they seem quite an awesome bunch. Somehow I feel more attached to the cricket guys this year. Funny.
I've been having annoying thoughs bouncing around my skull and they've really messed my head up. Rational thinking has taken a break. I'm looking for sane conversation with a person who doesn't mind talking to an insane person. With someone who'd tell me I'm a total idiot and will give me a good boot in the ass to go along with it.
Cheers.
